Sweet Cicely (Myrrhis odorata) has sweet anise-scented leaves that look a lot like ferns. Some people think the flavor tastes like a cross between anise and celery, and it is often used to make tart fruits such as rhubarb taste sweeter. Add minced sweet cicely to stewed apples or stewed rhubarb, or to a fresh fruit salad. Add a few sweet cicely leaves to any tea blends to add a sweet flavor.
